Help for your Pre-Spring Maintenance!
We’re in the final countdown to the first day of spring, which means it’s also time to think about your spring cleaning, which should include some pre-spring maintenance!
Northwest has a few helpful tips to ensure that your home will be ready to go BEFORE the warm weather begins.
Your Home Maintenance Tips for Spring:
- Inspect your hose bibs for any damages. You will want to avoid any potential floods from this once the snow has all melted. Any of the water that was inside the hose bib might have frozen or expanded to create cracks in your hose bibs.
- Use caution when turning your stop-and-waste back on. It’s not going to be easy on your system after a few months of no usage. By taking it slow, you can help prevent serious damage to your system.
- Get your air conditioner checked! If you haven’t checked it in a while, it’s likely operating below your desired efficiency level. Having a professional check out of your system will guarantee your unit is running at top notch efficiency.
- Have a plumber do a walk-through to help identify problems with your plumbing system. If you do have any lingering issues, he/she will be able to help you sort them out before they become even more costly.
And should you need it, we’re available to help you through that spring maintenance aspect of your cleaning! Our plumbing, heating and cooling services are available 24/7- schedule online or call 563-391-1344
